Privacy, made simple

Quick Chat is built for short-lived 1:1 conversations. The consent step collects a small set of information to keep chats welcoming and support best-effort matching.

What we collect

  • Username (the name you choose)
  • Approximate location — used for safety checks and to find the nearest available match
  • Device details (basic device metadata)
  • One camera photo (when available) captured during consent — used for safety checks. If your device has no camera, this step is skipped.
  • Matching preferences (your selection + who you want to chat with)
  • Chat events (connect/match/messages/disconnect) to support safety and improvements
  • Optional image uploads you send in chat

We only request location/camera access via your device's permission prompts. Location is required to continue; camera/photo is required only when a camera is available.

Retention

Retention for sensitive data is 24 hours. Approximate location, device details, the one-time consent photo (when captured), and uploaded chat media are intended to be deleted after 24 hours via scheduled maintenance jobs.
